The Clients National Security Programs Team in Annapolis Junction, MD is seeking a talented and experienced Software Engineers to work on programs in a growing portfolio of intelligence, security and information systems. 

 Qualified candidates should have extensive experience in software development/engineering including requirements analysis, software architecture, software implementation, integration, enhancement, maintenance, testing & problem diagnosis/resolution. 

Must have a firm grasp of modern computer programming techniques and experience in agile programming methodologies is desired. Must be able to communicate directions and provide guidance to junior programmers/analysts. Knowledge of Perl, SQL, XML structure, XML parsers is required. Development skills in Java, J2EE, Enterprise Java Beans, RMI, character set encoding, swing, JDBC, JMS, WebLogic, Servlets, threading/thread pooling and JSP are required. Skills and experience in the following are also desired: object-oriented design, GUI development, integration and/or extension of GOTS (Government-Off-The-Shelf)/COTS (Commercial Off the Shelf)/FOSS (Free and Open Source) products, Service Oriented Architectures, metadata extraction and analysis, protocol processing, cloud computing and desktop application frameworks (e.g. ECLIPSE RCP). Desirable programming languages include: Java, Java EE, C, C++, PHP, HTML/XML and shell scripting. Experience in the following development environments is also desired: Linux, Solaris, UNIX and Windows(2000, 2003, XP, Vista). Specific positions may require or desire familiarity with additional languages, tools, processes, or technologies which may include: AJAX, XML technologies, SWING, JDBC, JMS, jQuery, EXT-JS, Flex, Subversion, Eclipse, Rhapsody, DBVisualizer, PowerDesigner, Documentum, MATLAB, configuration management, maturity model/CMMI and Relational Databases. General requirements: Leads activities to develop, document and maintain complex architectures, requirements, algorithms, interfaces and designs for software systems. Leads development of code and integration of complex software components into a fully functional software system. Test plans, supplier management activities. Leads development, selection, Leads software research and development projects. Serves as a subject matter expert for software domains, system-specific issues, processes and regulations.  

Experience  Level 4 - Bachelor's and 9 or more years' experience, 

Master's with 7 or more years' experience or 

PhD with 4 or more years' experience. Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry. 

ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Job Description

Competencies

·         At least eight years systems development and integration experience

·         Salesforce.com development experience as well as experience in systems integration environments with large, complex third party solutions coupled with proven expertise integrating solutions with other applications within the overall technology environment

·         At least 3+ years development experience developing in multi-tier environment, preferably using Java

·         Demonstrative success with at least one large Salesforce.com implementation/integration project

·         Excellent knowledge of Salesforce.com architecture and data model

·         MDM experience a plus

·         Demonstrated team building and project management skills.

·         Proven management and mentorship of development team direct reports preferred

·         Experience in Agile development methodologies

·         Saleslogix experience a plus

Responsibilities

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

·         Setting vision and standards for the development and integration of the Salesforce.com solution

·         Design, code, unit test, system test, performance test, debug, implement, and support Salesforce.com application and integrations.

·         Design & implement APIs and web-based interfaces utilizing Apex code, Web Services, etc

·         Ensure Production CRM support team follows best practices when architecting, programming or documenting solutions. This includes creating standards and documentation and leveraging processes to ensure all development staff follow the same

·         Assist in resource allocation and planning through project planning, staff hiring, staff supplementation and/or outsourcing initiatives

·         Work closely with the Enterprise Architecture team, implementation partners, 3rd party vendors and other technology teams to ensure appropriate infrastructure selection, maintenance, policies and procedures are in place to support the CRM application environment.

·         Communicate development status on a regular basis to SMD, Application Development and stakeholders, escalating any identified risks

·         Recommend cost effective technology solutions for business challenges

·         Ensure the on-time delivery of enhancements or modifications to ongoing production CRM systems.

·         Experience architecting complex large scale systems incorporating packaged and custom applications

·         Manage a team of developers
